First off to elaborate, this pistol was a weapon issued to US soldiers before the introduction of the double action 38 revolver, this system had a lever index that allowed you to change cylinders for faster reloading then loading the gun 1 shot at a time, this 45 pistol had everything you wanted in a revolver but with a speed-loader instead of a slow eject and loading gate system, till the more functional break action and moon clips were devised this was the best way to get repeated fire from a side arm. It really is an amazing weapon for the sharpshooter, extremely underrated.
